Volleyball Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks. The Middie Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Goldbacks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Newburgh Free Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

After both having extra time off, Middletown and Valley Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newburgh Free Academy, they will head out to face off against Monroe-Woodbury at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
