Football Game Preview: Westwood Panthers vs. King's Academy Lions

The Westwood Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the King's Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Westwood beat Centennial 22-16. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King's Academy). They put the hurt on Inlet Grove with a sharp 28-6 win on Friday. The Lions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 52-0).

The victory got King's Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Westwood, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Westwood came up short against King's Academy in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, falling 28-21. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
