Basketball Game Preview: Garden Valley Wolverines vs. Cascade Ramblers

The Garden Valley Wolverines will head out to take on the Cascade Ramblers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Garden Valley sitting on six straight victories and Cascade on five.

Last Saturday, Garden Valley really took it to Wilder for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-35 win. With the Wolverines ahead 48-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cascade). They came out on top against Riverstone International by a score of 65-55 on Wednesday.

Garden Valley's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Cascade, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Garden Valley beat Cascade 53-41 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garden Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
