Baseball Game Preview: Manitowoc Lincoln Ships vs. Pulaski Red Raiders

Manitowoc Lincoln is on a nine-game streak of home wins, while Pulaski is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Ships will host the Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Manitowoc Lincoln has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Manitowoc Lincoln's offense. They fell just short of Ashwaubenon by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Pulaski came up short against De Pere on Tuesday and fell 7-4. The Red Raiders haven't had much luck with the Redbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Pulaski saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Brabant, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Pulaski's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 15-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Manitowoc Lincoln has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pulaski struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Manitowoc Lincoln came out on top in a nail-biter against Pulaski in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Ships have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
