Basketball Game Preview: Herriman Mustangs vs. Bingham Miners

Herriman and Bingham are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Herriman Mustangs will be playing at home against the Bingham Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Herriman has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Bingham will arrive with three straight victories.

Herriman came up short against Mountain Ridge on Thursday, falling 69-46. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Sentinels are ranked 20th).

Tylee Sundquist put forth a good effort for the losing side as she went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Maddi Little, who posted nine points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Bingham earned a 56-49 win over Riverton on Thursday.

Bingham has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Herriman, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.
