While Gorham's victory against Groveton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies' defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. Give Gorham's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Gorham's win bumped their record up to 10-1-1. As for Groveton, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Gorham will head out to square off against Woodsville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodsville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Gorham surely won't give up without a fight. As for Groveton, they will head out on the road to face off against Pittsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Groveton will be up against Pittsburg's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.92 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
