Basketball Recap: Newman International Academy Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Newman International Academy Warriors lost to the Trinity Leadership Tigers on the road by a 49-31 margin. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newman International Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Trinity Leadership, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Newman International Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Uplift Ascend Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Uplift Ascend Prep's defense has only allowed 24.2 points per game this season, so Newman International Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. Trinity Leadership will take on Tournament Opponent in a holiday battle at on Thursday.
