            Softball Recap: Prattville Christian Academy Panthers vs. Smiths Station Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            On SaturdayPrattville Christian Academy's undefeated season almost came to an end. They had just enough and edged Smiths Station out  4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Prattville Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.
 Laura Nesmith tossed a big game,   pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run every time she's  pitched this season.

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Saniyah Weaver, who  scored a  run and  stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Those four  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Megan Masters, who  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Prattville Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-0 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Smiths Station,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Coming up, Prattville Christian Academy will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Alabama Christian Academy  at 4:00  p.m. Prattville Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8  runs per game  this season. As for Smiths Station, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pike Road  at 1:00  p.m.  on Monday.
