Volleyball Recap: Immanuel Christian Takes a Loss

Immanuel Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the El Paso Tigers. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Immanuel Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made El Paso work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11, 27-25.

Carla Sousa-Travieso paced Immanuel Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Sousa-Travieso got some help from Lilia Ramirez and her 11 assists. Addison Kern controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Immanuel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for El Paso, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Immanuel Christian will face off against Pebble Hills at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for El Paso, they will challenge Monterey at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
