Softball Recap: Vicksburg Has No Trouble Against Lakeshore

Vicksburg won the last time they faced Lakeshore and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 11-5 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Zemitans was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Kayla Chisholm was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Vicksburg is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Lakeshore, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 21-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vicksburg will host Marshall at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Lakeshore, they will face off against Lakeview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
