            Softball Recap: Andrews Yellowjackets vs. Marion Swamp Foxes        
        
		
        
        
            Andrews fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Marion  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Swamp Foxes. Having soared to a lofty 16  runs in the game before, the Yellowjackets couldn't push the score so high this time.
 Addyson Davis spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits.
 At the plate, Andrews saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sarah Jennings, who  went 1-for-4 with one  stolen base.
Andrews has also been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record  this season. As for Marion,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 9-7.
 Coming up, Andrews will take on Edisto at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
