Volleyball Recap: Santa Fe Raiders vs. Bishop Moore Hornets
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Santa Fe had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Bishop Moore Hornets 3-0. The Raiders were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Hornets, so the Raiders were just returning the favor.
While Santa Fe won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-18.
Brooke Findley paced Santa Fe's offense, picking up 18 kills. Findley got some help from Ella Schneider and her 20 assists. Reagan Matthews controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Bishop Moore's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Annika Jurgensen, who had 14 assists and four digs, and Arianna Delgado, who had ten digs. Jurgensen is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
