Volleyball Recap: Orcas Island Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Orcas Island can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rainier Mountaineers on Wednesday.

Orcas Island started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-13.

Orcas Island's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Rainier, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4-2.

Looking ahead, Orcas Island will take on Tri-Cities Prep in a tournament on Wednesday. Rainier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
