Volleyball Recap: Ridge Community Takes a Loss

Ridge Community lost against Poinciana back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ridge Community Bolts fell 3-1 to the Poinciana Eagles.

While Poinciana got the win, Ridge Community sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 27-25, 28-26.

Poinciana was led to victory by Yaniel Pujols and Daniel Negron. Pujols had 36 digs and two aces, while Negron had three digs, two aces, and one block. Pujols is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 20 every time he's taken the court this season.

Ridge Community's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Poinciana, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Ridge Community will be playing in front of their home fans against Mulberry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poinciana, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Liberty on the 12th.
