Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Dj Wilbur and Jaylen Rice Lead Red Bank to Victory

Red Bank lost to McCallie back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Red Bank Lions walked away with a 60-49 victory over the McCallie Blue Tornado. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Leading Red Bank to victory were Jaylen Rice and Dj Wilbur. Rice posted 14 points in addition to eight boards and four steals, while Wilbur went 6 for 13 on his way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Wilbur a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor McDuffie, who put up six points.

Red Bank's record is now 10-2. As for McCallie, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Red Bank wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-44 defeat against Bradley Central on the 3rd. As for McCallie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-34 win against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences on the 3rd.
