Columbian snaps six-game streak of losses on the road

Recap: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Edison Chargers

The Columbian Tornadoes can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They secured a 39-33 W over Edison. The win was just what Columbian needed coming off of a 42-17 defeat in their prior contest.

Edison's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Audrey Linder, who scored ten points. Gracie Rang was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Columbian's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Edison, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbian will finish 2023 at home by hosting Fostoria at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Edison will take on Crestview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
