If the Wilmington Wildcats were riding high off their 49-27 takedown of the Streator Bulldogs last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wilmington took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Herscher on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wilmington in their matchups with Herscher: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cole Drown, who scored seven points along with two steals.

Wilmington has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Herscher, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-19.
