Pikesville had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Sparrows Point Pointers 73-23. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Pointers are ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pikesville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ka?Nai Pyatt led the charge by going 8 of 16 on her way to 22 points and three steals. Pyatt is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Jones-Bey, who went 6 for 13 en route to 13 points and five steals.

Pikesville's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Sparrows Point, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Pikesville will host New Town at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sparrows Point, they are taking a road trip to challenge Overlea at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
