Softball Game Preview: Poway Titans vs. Christian Patriots

The Poway Titans will challenge the Christian Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Poway proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 19) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Santana 2-1.

Meanwhile, Christian put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand San Marcos a 1-0 shutout.

Not much got past Ava Barrios, who gave up just four hits to keep San Marcos off the board. Furthermore, Barrios didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucy Sherburne, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Moody, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Poway, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
