Softball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy Wins Going Away Against Christian Family Academy

Pinnacle Classical Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Christian Family Academy Fire 11-5. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.

Evie Hawkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Hawkins was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivyah Carroll, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Anzlee Kilby, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Pinnacle Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Christian Family Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pinnacle Classical Academy will take on rival Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Christian Family Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Community Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
