Gray Collegiate Academy extended their postseason success on Friday against Hilton Head Island. They skirted past the Seahawks 31-28. The win was familiar territory for the War Eagles, who have now won ten contests in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gray Collegiate Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trevon Williamson, who rushed for 231 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Williamson has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last seven times he's played. Xavier Wright was another key player, having thrown for 250 yards and onetouchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gray Collegiate Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in eight consecutive games.

Several Seahawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thaddeus Czarnecki, who rushed for 59 yards and two TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Walters, who picked up 66 receiving yards.

Gray Collegiate Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Hilton Head Island, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.

Coming up, Gray Collegiate Academy will face off against South Florence on Friday. The War Eagles will need to watch out since the Bruins have now posted at least 31 points in their last 11 matchups. Hilton Head Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
