Basketball Game Preview: Farina South Central Cougars vs. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats

Farina South Central hasn't had much luck against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars duke it out with the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Farina South Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-42 to Altamont.

Meanwhile, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central A & M. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly seven points.

Farina South Central will need to focus on slowing down Macee Rodman, one of several Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City players who made an impact when they last played. She almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Haley Doty, who posted 11 points.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Farina South Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-24.

Farina South Central ended up a good deal behind Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City when the teams last played back in January, losing 64-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rodman, who almost dropped a double-double with 40 points and nine steals.
