Preview: Campolindo vs. Archie Williams
The Campolindo Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Campolindo is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Last Thursday, Campolindo narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Northgate 2-1.
Campolindo was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Levi Olsen and
Sean Mungunshagai, who scored both of Campolindo's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 17 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Archie Williams and Redwood squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly Archie Williams had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Giants by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Archie Williams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Redwood is ranked 20th).
Campolindo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8-1 record this season. As for Archie Williams, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-4.
