Football Recap: Covina Colts vs. South Hills Huskies

Covina came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 55-15 defeat at the hands of the South Hills Huskies. The Colts were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

Despite the loss, Covina still got an impressive performance from Gatsbee Gumban, who rushed for 67 yards and one score on only eight carries.

South Hills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Arguinzoni, who rushed for 178 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Those 178 rushing yards gave Arguinzoni a new career-high. Justin Jimenez was another key player, rushing for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

Covina dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for South Hills, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-6.
