Softball Recap: Athens Find Success

Athens barely beat Midwest Central/Illini Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors never let the Raiders get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The Warriors have beaten the Raiders the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Raiders has come to flipping the script.

Athens now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Midwest Central/Illini Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Athens will venture away from home to square off against Auburn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Midwest Central/Illini Central, they will challenge Williamsville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
