Softball Recap: Caldwell Gets the Win

While Caldwell's win against Emmett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars won by a run and slipped past the Huskies 7-6. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 12-2 win back in April.

Kloe Fogle was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Caldwell's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Emmett, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Caldwell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-1 loss against Skyview on the 7th. Emmett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
