Coolidge piles up the points against School Without Walls

In what's become a running theme this season, the Coolidge Colts gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past School Without Walls, posting a 60-30 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Coolidge who now have six in a row.

Coolidge found their leader in underclassman Josslyn Derricott, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. Derricott is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylyn Derricott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Coolidge's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for School Without Walls, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coolidge will be playing at home against Bard at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bard comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for School Without Walls, they will head out on the road to challenge Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in District of Columbia (Roosevelt is ranked 14th, while School Without Walls is ranked 16th).
