Florence had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the La Junta Tigers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 37-22. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Tigers last Friday, they had to take a 25-16 loss.

Florence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaydence Martinez, who posted nine points along with six boards and five steals. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Victoria Finnigsmier was another key player, putting up ten points.

Florence smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They are 8-3 when they hit their own glass that hard.

La Junta lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isabelle Aragon, who scored seven points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsley Mayo, who put up five points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Florence's record now sits at 8-14. As for La Junta, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11.

Florence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-22 loss against Rye on the 1st. As for La Junta, they have also already played their next contest, a 31-29 defeat against Banning Lewis Academy on the 1st.
