Basketball Recap: Waterford Takes a Loss

Waterford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 53-42 to the Stonington Bears. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Bears are ranked 28th).

Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Stonington, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Waterford has already played their next matchup (against Killingly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Stonington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Griswold at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
