Whitehall posted their closest victory since April 8th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Emmaus Hornets 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 last Monday.

The result came thanks to Nik Christman's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Whitehall's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Sanders, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Whitehall is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Emmaus, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Whitehall has already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against East Stroudsburg North on the 2nd. As for Emmaus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-7 loss against Parkland on the 4th.
