Baseball Game Preview: Jemison Panthers vs. Demopolis Tigers

Jemison hasn't had much luck against Demopolis recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jemison comes in on five and Demopolis on 12.

Jemison's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Montevallo as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cooper Smitherman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Blackmon, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Demopolis duked it out with Northridge on Saturday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 5-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jemison's record is now 12-6. As for Demopolis, their record now sits at 19-4.

Jemison came up short against Demopolis in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, falling 5-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
