Softball Recap: Knox Has No Trouble Against Triton

While Knox put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Triton. The Redskins were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Trojans. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Karleigh Friedrich, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sarah Fort, who earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Knox always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Knox's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Triton, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knox will head out to face off against LaVille at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Redskins are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Triton, they are taking a road trip to square off against South Bend Career Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
