Football Recap: Oglesby Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Methodist Children's Home last Friday, Oglesby came back down to earth. The Tigers and the Coolidge Yellowjackets were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Tigers suffered a 59-58 defeat. The Tigers were up 26 in the second, but they couldn't quite seal the deal.

Oglesby didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Jack Hendricks led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Holdyn Goff is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Hendricks got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oglesby fell to 4-1. As for Coolidge, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.

Oglesby will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mullin at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. As for Coolidge, they will square off against Mount Calm at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount Calm's defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so Coolidge's offense will have their work cut out for them.
