Football Recap: East Nashville Magnet Takes Down Adamsville in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, East Nashville Magnet rose to the challenge on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 41-18 margin over the Adamsville Cardinals. The score was close at halftime, but the Eagles pulled away in the second half with 34 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Nashville Magnet to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kinnie Fuller, Jr, who rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Fuller, Jr has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 2-5 otherwise. Jared Osei-Bonsu did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 121 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: East Nashville Magnet was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

East Nashville Magnet didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cortez Murphy, Treon Mcadoo, and Cason Reed picked up one apiece.

East Nashville Magnet is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.5 points on average over those games. As for Adamsville, they moved to 7-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, East Nashville Magnet is taking a road trip to face off against Fairley at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 9.3 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. Adamsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
