Baseball Preview: Bear River Bruins vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos

The Bear River Bruins will head out on the road to square off against the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Bear River is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Bear River proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Truckee.

Cooper Berry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kaden Nicholls was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Brayden Estrada also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges suffered their closest loss since March 16, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Lincoln by a score of 8-6.

James Romanov and Jackson Whitesides did some serious damage despite the final result: Romanov scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Whitesides scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Twelve Bridges' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bear River, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
