Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Great Bridge). Everything went their way against the Oscar Smith Tigers on Thursday as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Wildcats not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10, 2024.

Brody Comparto made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Adam Bartley was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Cinnamomd, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Great Bridge and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Oscar Smith, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Bridge will challenge Hickory at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oscar Smith, they will face off against Churchland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
