Basketball Recap: Chisum Comes Up Short

Chisum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Winnsboro Raiders and fell 81-24. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1054th, while the Raiders are ranked 46th).

Chisum's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Winnsboro, their victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-3.

Chisum will welcome Commerce at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winnsboro, they will venture away from home to face off against Lone Oak at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Oak has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
