Softball Recap: Prattville Christian Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Prattville Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Marbury Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Prattville Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Chloe Hollon, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Hollon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Saniyah Weaver, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-5.

Hollon wasn't the only one making solid contact: Prattville Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.

Prattville Christian Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Marbury, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Prattville Christian Academy will face off against LAMP at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marbury, they will challenge Holtville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marbury's pitchers better be ready for this one: Holtville has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
