New Philadelphia came tearing into Saturday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Louisville Leopards by a score of 10-5. For the Quakers, this counts as revenge for the 13-4 victory the Leopards walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

New Philadelphia let Reese Loveday and Ellie Mason run wild. Loveday went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Mason went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Sidney Vandall was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

New Philadelphia pushed their record up to 20-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Louisville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14-1 record this season.

New Philadelphia and Louisville are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Quakers will head out on the road to face off against Dover at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (New Philadelphia 2.8, the Crimson Tornadoes 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Louisville, they will welcome Copley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Leopards surely won't give up without a fight.
