Basketball Game Preview: West Panthers vs. Murray Spartans + Official Tickets

West hasn't had much luck against Murray recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, West made off with a 48-47 victory over West Field.

West got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Matthew Fox out in front who went 6-for-12 en route to 18 points. That's the most points Fox has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elijah Albertson, who had nine points along with six assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Murray). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Taylorsville 91-50. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Murray's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for West, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

West took a serious blow against Murray in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 76-46. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 38-18.
