Capital has gone 8-2 against Butte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bruins will square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Capital has given up an average of 32.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Capital's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Sentinel on Thursday. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans. Considering the last time the Bruins couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Butte had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Hellgate 36-10 on Thursday. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Butte's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Bridger Brancamp and Hudson Luedtke, who racked up five sacks between them. Butte got some further help from Mitch Verlanic: he made eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged an interception.

Capital has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Butte, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Capital against Butte when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
