Hendrick Hudson was the 55-47 winner over Ketcham when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Hendrick Hudson Sailors took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ketcham The Storm on Saturday. The Sailors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hendrick Hudson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla A McCarthy, who posted 14 points and seven steals. A McCarthy is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Kaitlyn Raguso was another key player, going 6 of 13 on her way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Hendrick Hudson was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Hendrick Hudson now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Ketcham, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hendrick Hudson will venture away from home to face off against Sleepy Hollow at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hendrick Hudson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season. As for Ketcham, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Arlington at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st.
