Beaver Local came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Buckeye Local Panthers 7-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 on Thursday.

Addie Thurik made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 19 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Tatum Duncan and Lora Reeder did most of the damage at the plate: Duncan went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Reeder went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Brenna Jones was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Beaver Local kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive games.

Beaver Local's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Buckeye Local, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaver Local will venture away from home to challenge Southern at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buckeye Local, they will head out to face off against Toronto at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
