Softball Recap: Elizabeth Seton Wins Going Away Against Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart

Elizabeth Seton had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart on Tuesday. Everything went Elizabeth Seton's way against the Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart Gators as Elizabeth Seton made off with a 14-3 win.

Kimmya Sims made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Keagan Cooper was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. Another player making a difference was Zoe Johnson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Elizabeth Seton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Elizabeth Seton will square off against Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Georgetown Day at 4:15 p.m. on April 10th.
