Softball Recap: Ludlowe Takes a Loss

Ludlowe dropped their record down to 10-13 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-0 to the Ridgefield Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in May.

As for Ridgefield, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-10. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Ridgefield's part, Sonia Gaughran was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave Gaughran a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Piper Keane, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither Ludlowe nor Ridgefield have any future games scheduled.
