Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Centennial's offense. They fell just short of the Newport Harbor Sailors by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Huskies have suffered since March 12th.

Centennial is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9. As for Newport Harbor, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Centennial has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against St. John Bosco on the 9th. As for Newport Harbor, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Patrick Henry on the 9th.
