Basketball Recap: Covington Latin Comes Up Short

Covington Latin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 60-50 to the St. Patrick Saints. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-59 back in December of 2024.

Covington Latin's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Patrick, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11.

Covington Latin will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oyler at 2:00 p.m. on February 1st. St. Patrick has already played their next matchup (against Pendleton County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
