American Prep WV is 0-10 against Waterford since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The American Prep WV Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Waterford Ravens at 7:00 p.m. American Prep WV is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, American Prep WV suffered a rough 55-29 defeat at the hands of Intermountain Christian. American Prep WV has not had much luck with Intermountain Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Nicole Tran put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That was a full 44.8% of American Prep WV's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Waterford over Rowland Hall in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Waterford blew Rowland Hall out of the water with a 44-16 final score. Waterford pushed the score to 33-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Rowland Hall had little chance of recovering from.
Anne Howard continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Ana Holtey, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
American Prep WV's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Waterford, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
American Prep WV came up short against Waterford in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 29-25. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Howard, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
