On Thursday Armstrong will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They and the Iroquois West Raiders are set to duel. Armstrong will be strutting in after a win while Iroquois West will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Armstrong was able to grind out a solid victory over Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, taking the game 2-0.
Armstrong's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin between 18 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.
Meanwhile, Iroquois West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Westville.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8.
Armstrong now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Iroquois West, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
Armstrong beat Iroquois West 2-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Armstrong since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
