Everything went Bell Gardens' way against Mark Keppel on Monday as Bell Gardens made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Lancers have won three matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Steven Tovar, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Samano, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Bell Gardens was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Alhambra fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Schurr on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Nero Navarro was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Jacob Rodriguez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Bell Gardens, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bell Gardens has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Alhambra struggles in that department as they've averaged .475. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bell Gardens skirted past Alhambra 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bell Gardens since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
